International Mother Earth Day, also known as Earth Day was introduced by the United Nations on 22 April 2009, following a resolution proposed by the State of Bolivia and supported by more than 50 member countries. From then it is annually observed across the globe on 22 April to create awareness about humanity’s relationship with the natural world.
